The resolution thing
Got to thinking today and realized that exactly a year ago today I started on the journey for weightloss and better health.
So I went digging and found last years resolutions:
To lose weight I say this every year but this year I mean it. To this end tomorrow starts Weight Watchers. I can do this. I did it before. And this time I'm going to meetings and everything. Maybe I can get rid of that load that I'm carryinga round.

write more - maybe even finish one or two works in progress I got out there
Try to find a better headspace Whether this means finding a better job, getting sun when the depression hits, connect more with friends, do more photography,etc.
SCA want to become more involved. Events might not be as many I'd like but I can go to scribal again regularly, work on backlog scrolls, etc.
The Actuality?
1. Lose weight - I initially dropped 43 pounds through Weight Watchers in 8 months. I have not been back since I made lifetime, but when I stepped on a scale again a little over a week ago I had only gained back 4 (and that was right during my monthly water gain).
2. Attempt to keep things a bit cleaner around the house - hehehehehehehehe. NOPE - did not happen.
3. Write more - sorta. I became involved with a couple 100 word drabble communities here in LJ. (mostly firefly100). Didn't get any of the old works in progress worked on - let alone finished.
4. Better headspace - I think I did manage to accomplish this one. I changed jobs back in July which helped a LOT. I also reconnected with old friends and became closer to others. My relationships are getting stronger and more solid.
5. SCA - didn't get to as many events this past year as I would have liked. But that was mostly due to finance and scheduling. Also did not get to scribal as often as I would have liked. I put my name in the hat for AEthelmearc Sylvan Signet. Did not get the position. Helped to officially declare a canton dead. And it looks like I will be the next clerk for the Order of the Fleur D'AEthelmearc (heaven help me). I also agreed to let my name be put on as staff for Pennsic 2010 (Security 2).
So the hopes for next year:
Health/Weight I hope to continue to keep the pounds off. I received a "come back and have registration waved" coupon from WW. I'm tempted to do it to help me stay on track and maybe lose the last 5-10 pounds I want gone. Though I am fairly happy where my weight is now. I also want to get back to walking at least once a week and do the stairs at work at least twice a week on my lunch.

Attempt to keep the house cleaner Ok so this one goes on the list every year. Someday I can hope to actually be more organized and tidier. My plan this year is to not just dump things in the spare room when I try to tidy up other rooms. Also need to get the boxes of "too big" clothes out of the house (woman's shelter, goodwill, consignment shops something). I can also make a conscious effort to empty and fill the dishwasher on a more regular basis. Feel free to GENTLY nudge and remind me of this resolution
Friends/family I hope to work more on becoming closer to my loved ones. Maybe actually break out of my social shell that keeps me hidden in my house and away from people when given the slightest chance and spend more quality time with my sweeties (all of them).
Finance I'd really like to stop doing the whole "do I have enough money for gas in the car" thing. The plan for this remedy is to actually get a second job. AFter the rush of 12th night and a couple 4-H commitments I have I will go looking for something. Preferably waitressing. I made good money back when I did it in college. And it would give me spending cash in the pocket.
SCA - I want to continue to be active. The clerk position gives me a start. If the second job will allow I might try getting back into Fencing. It's a stretch but it would help with the health/fitness thing AND Socializing AND SCA involvement. This is a "I would like" not a "I must do"
Procrastination - I would like to not procrastinate so much on projects and things that need to be done. To this end I've already started on 12th night gifts for next year. Of course I still have to finish the ones for this year.
Well I think that's it for the resolutions. It's a start. Tune in next year to see how well I did.
