The scrolls went out today VIA UPS to Their Majesties home - if you don't get it tomorrow please call me so I can track it.

Now to start on the two for NEXT week. I have a writ to do. This one I think will be the italian white vine I was going to do for the scroll that I ended up doing French gothic vine for instead. The Fleur will be from the Lutrell Psalter. Maybe I'll start mocking one up tonight.

This weekend I need to go through garb and find what I want to wear for Juggler's Tumblers and Bards and see if Boo and/or Boogie will help me tailor it down to fit the new sized me.

In other news... while I have not told the Powers that Be at Steven J. Baum, PC... I'm leaving. As soon as the written offer comes in (which I have been told will sometime tomorrow) I'm giving my notice. Let me tell you how liberating it feels knowing that July 3rd I will be starting somewhere else. The new job is so much closer to what I have YEARS of experience doing before I came to this legal nightmare. Admin Assistant. It was [livejournal.com profile] dheirdre who gave me the lead, helped me negotiate for terms I needed and vouched for me. It's good to have friends. THANK YOU DEI!

Now here comes my question... when I go tell the Powers that Be that I have a new job... do I offer two nights a week from 6-9pm and stay on part time? Money would be most helpful as while I will be getting to go to Pennsic with having only been at the new job a month... it will be unpaid so the extra cash would be helpful financially. I don't want to totally screw over my co-workers by leaving them high and dry completely. (just partially). Am I being too sympathetic in thinking about offering to stay part time? Or should I sever the ties completely?

Honest opinions would be appreciated from my friends and family.

On an other state of the me front... I'm hungry so I'm going to go get some dinner.

Moo

If you do stay on, do it totally for the cash. Don't let them use sentiment, or get them to pity you "what will we doo without you, oh woe oh sorrow". If they valued you enough to treat you well, you wouldn't be leaving, right?

But if they offer you decent money to help at night, and it suits you, do it!

Notice is good, offering to work part time is good (do it for the MONEY!), not burning bridges is very good. Only screw them if they really screwed you. You never know when a good exit will help you out in the future. I work in the unemployment office and have seen people screw themselves by going out with a bang, then finding the shit can roll uphill and down to get you for past wrongs.

Cash good. Good kharma from helping others good. Enlightened self interest: it's what's for dinner!
