I think I'm going to jump on the bandwagon that I have noticed a lot of other SCAdian's talking about lately. It's really nice to go to small events and have a nice, relaxing, no big drama event and just have fun with friends.

I saw people I haven't seen in ages, oh... like my Knight and the Duchezz and Ducessa. Though I didn't see as much of the knight as I would have liked, but that happens when he's the autocrat and stuff.

Got many compliments and "wows" from people who haven't seen me since before I started loosing weight. And the King made me blush... many times. Of course, he could smile and just make me blush.

Una I will get the court report to you this week. All but two scrolls showed up though most actually didn't go out due to people not being there.

It was great watching the reactions for the writ. Especially Meirwen's. I got to see the faces due to being behind the throne being the human teleprompter for His Majesty.

For those who weren't there Morguhn receive the writ for elevation into the Pelican. He is to determine a time before the end of the current reign to answer the "charges".

We (Boo and Boogie and I) had an interesting conversation on the way home that I need to perculate on some before I write up my thoughts on the subject.

All in all it was a wonderful weekend.

On a tangent... [livejournal.com profile] damedini I am thinking that I need an Indian outfit for Pennsic. Could I ask you to price one for me? Size 10/12. I want a choli and pantaloon pants. Maybe a sari as well. Think you could possible find out for me how much it would cost to buy them?

I'm off to relax some, find dinner and stuff.

Until later.

OK! Cholis run about $30 for simple ones. The pants on their own will be a challenge - they are usually sold as part of an outfit with a kameez - the long tunic tops we so at Pennsic. I can't really give a price for those. You might find a tailor in Little India that would make some for you. No idea on price. You can also get "pyjama" pants with a Kurti top (the embroidered, usually white cotton, tops that are trendy. Those outfots are about $30-40 and can be dyed. Saris, depending on fabric can go from $40 upward. If you're wanting natural fibers, budget about $100 to be safe. You can probably get one for less, but that's a bonus! The ones I usually fall in love with are at least close to $200 (I have pricey taste).

When ya coming up?

It will have to be sometime mid July if I do happen to get money together. any idea how much the Kameez set is?

If I factor $200 american would that be enough?

Salwar kameez also vary widely in price. Again, depending on fabric and design, from $40 up is safe. $200 should make you a happy shopper.
