AFter a almost two week sedation of working on scrolls preceeded by a week of not giving much of a flying fig, I decided tonight I needed to get back on program. Especially after that very good feast at JTB that was sooooooo not point friendly. (Dear WW, how many points is a Medieval style feast? Answer: mad giggling)

I needed to get back into my workout routine.

So I started with what I had been doing every Monday night... I popped in "Walk Strong" and started doing it just like I did back when I was actively working out.

HEheHEHEHEHE... yeah I should know better. half way through my body is going "what the hell do you think you are doing."

the standard work out is 3 minute intervals of fast paced walking then 3 minutes of strenght training. Back when I was doing this one 2-3 times a week I was doing the walking with one pound weights and the strenght training with two pounders.

I had to stop doing the one pounds during the fast walks and eventually switch out the two pound for the one pound during the strength training.

How sad is it? I went from not even able to fathom willingly doing anything remotely exercise like if it involved more than going upstairs to use the potty to feeling gross because I haven't doing anything in a week and havne't had a good workout in almost 3.

I gotta get back into routine. I want the stamina to be able to walk every morning around camp at pennsic. I want to get back into good enough shape that I don't feel totally embarassed when, this winter, I dig out the fencing gear that has been in the closet (or Mom's back room as it were) for the last 7 years and get back into the game.

I really miss fencing. There was a time that I was even decent. I made baronial champ once. Granted that was a long time ago. But I can do it again. I had fun, it was something I could do with my knight and enjoy and have that bonding time that the squires get to get when they fight with him.

Ok, enough prattling. Off to cool down.

Tomorrow starts back at square one with the workouts. I start with the one mile walks in the morning and go from there.

Back to baby steps.

Actually, I worked out the points values for a bunch of typical feast dishes once - I'll see if I can find it.
