Sunday, Sunday.
Jul. 9th, 2006 08:44 pmGot up before the alarm. Im noticing that if I just let myself wake naturally, I've been getting up around 8ish. I can sometimes convince myself to go back for a nap after I get up and pee but it's almost always around 8 (unless there are mitigating circumstances like not getting home from Family Friday until rather late)
I got up, cut out the missing leg for the red and blue plaid flannel pants and got them sewn.
After the Boo woke up I headed over there and we went for our Sunday walk. Did the Nowak Pier again. Today the wind wasn't as bad as last week. Of course this meant more people were out and we nearly got hooked by a fisherman or two who were not paying attention to what was behind them before the cast their lines.
We had to do a show of power to get a canadian goose to move and let us pass. I could almost hear the thing sigh as a "fine, I'll get out of the way, stupid humans".
On the way back we watched a heron chase a seagull for the fish it had. It was amazing to watch. I never pictured Herons to be that graceful, agile and turn so sharply in the air. Eventually the gull dropped the fish and the heron had lunch.
After our walk we did a quick bit of shopping for groceries and headed back to Boo and Boogie's place where Boo showed me how to cut out proper norman tunics. I had understood the theory but needed to see it done to get the mental visualizations I needed. I don't work well without patterns and this is just measure and cut. You would think that having lived with
deadised and
theboomboom for a year I would have seen it done. Nope. Or if I had, I didn't process the experience for memory.
Though I gotta say, with the tailoring and altering I've been doing on old garb... I really miss not having
deadised around. The man knows how to tailor clothing to fit a woman right.
Boo also helped me mark hems for the linen tunic and the red and blue plaid pants. Both are now done (well I need a drawstring for the pants but that's so minimal I concider them done.)
This week I'll start on the wool normans Boo cut out for me and get a couple more persain coats cut. Yeah I can do it. the coats don't take that long to sew so if I can get one cut out tomorrow night, I can sew it when I get home from my second job Tuesday night. At least it's the plan.
But the plan for right now... shower and relax until I fall unconscious.
