Scrolls, scrolls and more scrolls
Mar. 8th, 2005 03:45 pmSo I'm feverishly working to complete a ton of scrolls by Ice Dragon. Mainly because I'm using the backlog scroll contest to get off my butt and actually get my backlogs done.
I have:
One scroll to calligraph to be given in court. Totally not inspired for any kind of wording. Nothing period, nothing cute, nothing even stolen from other Kingdoms strikes me for this scroll. Boo says she'll do the wording for me.
One scroll for the first place finisher in the fencing competition. DONE
One backloged Millrind scroll - just need to draw the stupid rabbit on her arms and paint the shield and it's done.
One backloged Carnelian. Have wording thanks to Boo. Have pretty good idea of layout and design. Hope he likes Hebrew. That's what I got inspired to do. But what else can you do when the wording is inspired by the Song of Solomon?
One backloged AOA. Wording done. Have a pretty good idea what illumination I am going to do. I think I'm going to stick to woodcut style for a while. At least with this competition. It's quick and easy to do.
One backloged Sigil. Calligraphy done. Illumination drawn in. Just need to paint it. And that's going to be a lot of paint as this one is inspired by a stained glass window.
One backloged Kings Archery champion. Calligraphy done. May redo it though. The paper is old and kinda nappy.
Then there's the chance I might have to do the calligraphy for someone else's scroll. She asked me at Three Ravens and I said I could do one. I should be seeing her tonight at scribal and will know for sure.
I think tonight however, I am not going to work on anything except maybe at scribal. And even then that's iffy.
Oh well. Things will get done when they get done.
