its saturday
Oct. 8th, 2005 08:16 amI promise I'll update everyone on how the interviews went and stuff later. I just haven't felt up to writing anything yet about it.
Today is saturday. It's also Crown Tourney. I used to really love that event. There is an energy to the air. The high excitement of knowing at the end of the day our next king and queen will have been picked.
I always liked watching the dynamics between the fighters and seeing who was there to "win but have fun", "win and fun be damned", "have fun but winning would be cool", and "only there because they believe it's expected in order to move one more step up the societal social ladder". I watch the crowds. I have rolls and rolls of pictures that I have taken as candids of the crowds. For me that's the real excitement. Capturing the people when they are watching others. Seeing how they really are.
I have a scroll to deliver for court.
dicea did a beautiful job on the illuminations. I'm not real happy with the wording but I got it done.
But see... it's Saturday. A day I should be able to sleep in, relax and recharge. My throat is starting to hurt. It's cold and icky outside. All I really want to do is stay in, curl under my electric blanket, read and avoid reality. Even for a little bit.
It's a two+ hour drive there. Luckily I have books on tape.
Oh well.
I should go. make my appearance, drop off the scroll. See who wins and come home.
In the imortal words of Nicodemus... "meh!"
