It's friday at 2pm. There are 3 collectors here and me. I'm the management other than a brand new team leader. Can you say "nothing's getting done" boys and girls. I knew you could.
I did manage to finally talk to someone at AT&T who spoke english (though HEAVILY accented with a sub-continent accent) and have arranged to have the land line at the house canceled. It gets shut off Monday.
Did manage to also reach the lawyer about a letter I got from the surragate court that I was puzzled over. It said I needed to have an inventory of assets filed within 6 months. I was like "Financial or material?" But he explained that all I will needed will be financial and that I will not have to make an actual inventory of the house. Oh Thank God!!! Those who have already seen the contents of said house can appreciate why I was not looking forward to doing an itemized inventory.
Also have a call into my Financial Advisor so I can get an appointment to help explain mom's annuity stuff so I can get the paperwork in to claim the money. Need the money. Big Time. The insurance research fizzled out with no policy found. It was a dead lead. Have gotten the itemized bill for the funeral and just got the information on the grave marker. All told between the grave marker and the funeral we are looking at close to $7100. Yeah. It's like $1300 just for the stupid plaque that say "we parked mom here". Well not literally. I don't think the family would appreciate that as an epitaph. Well maybe if I put it welsh. Everything is lyrical and whimsical in Welsh. Then again, maybe not.
I have a 9:30 appointment in the moring to get two cracked nails fixed then it's off for a funfilled weekend with friends and family trying to find the spare bedroom and florida room.
Have to do some shopping tonight for the weekend. Soda, lunch stuff, some stuff for dinner.
I am strong. I am fierce. I can do all this and not have a breakdown.
Oh and I have just finished the most awful romance novel to date. (Well Nappy Buttocks doesn't count as that was erotica and not romance). Season of the Sun was the title. My eyes hurt so much from the force of rolling them so much. I'm actually suprised that they aren't permanently lodged in the back of my skull at this point.
Tonight is family dinner with the girls. Looking forward to that.
I won't be able to do any updates until Sunday as I will be staying at the house Saturday.
