Sicky saturday

So far most of my Saturday has consisted of me doing nothing but laying in bed, in my jammies.

Watched a lot of home improvement shows on TLC, HGTV and DIY. Watched "Take Home Handyman". Man I'd love to have Andrew Dan-Jumbo walk up to me in Home Depot and say he'll pay for a weekend's home improvement project and then go home with me and help me do it.

But I learned some techniques for the venitian plaster I want to do in the Kitchen. While what I'm doing it not quite the same as what they did, some of the stuff is similar and having watched it will definately help. theboomboom if I don't get to talk to visrose before you send them up here, can you let her know that it's not all a painting technique that I'm doing like I thought I was? it's still plastering, just the preliminary application is like painting. Her help though will be MUCH welcome as it will be a two person job.

I finished a book today that I started two days ago. "The Return of the Earl". it's by Elizabeth Layton (I think). I'm not sure yet if I liked it or not. The story itself was OK, but I'm not sure yet if I like the author's writing style. I may read something else by her to know for sure.

I really wish this low grade fever would break. It keeps spiking but then dies down wthout actually breaking. It's really damn annoying.

I would like to do a trip to the Doma tomorrow. I have laundry I need to do. If I do go I promise not to do anything more strenuous than fix a pair of curtains and maybe sew a set of sheers. No painting, no scraping, no staining. I'll save that for next weekend. But it all depends on how I'm feeling tomorrow.

But for now I'm going to go find something dinner like and go back to bed and watch more mindless TV.
