Shameless plug

My birthday is at the end of the month.

If anyone is wondering what I would like/need, and would like to get me something/go in on something for me, I need a new full sized futon mattress. The one I have is going to be condemned as a bio-hazard and thrown out when I move. dicea knows a place here in Buffalo that sells them for reasonable prices. If interested maybe you can contact her or bakestondone. Not having one will limit the amount of crash space I can offer to people in the future (and moving weekend).

Other things I need: shower curtain rod for the guest bathroom. Weed wacker.

Yeah, I feel old when I sit and think that all I want for my birthday is a stupid weed wacker or shower curtain rod.

stuff

First: I was reminded on Sunday that I did not post my reminder to people on Friday. Friday June 1st marked the opening of Hurricane Season... make sure your hunting license is up to day.

Second: I went to the Doma after work and taped the master bedroom and then painted the ceiling. Once again proving that I am a danger to myself and others when I have a paint roller in my hands. *sigh* I will need to do a second coat on the ceiling but I like the color. It is a pale pale pale pink. So pale that you can't tell unless the light is just right.

I went to go hang icicle lights out on the back deck and discovered that the plug on the outside of the house by the deck either doesn't work or has the power to it turned off. *grumble* I know squat about electricity so not really sure what to even look at to determine if it's the outlet or just the power to it is cut off somewhere.

I swung by Walmart on my way home today and found the curtains for the master bedroom. Let me tell you, you would think that with the huge craze in Disney Princess crap it would be fairly simple to find light pink curtains. NooooOOOOOOooo. Either the curtains have princess faces on them or they are not really pink but more electric pink or fuchia or raspberry or something other than pink. Not pepto pink. Not blush. Not bashful. PINK.

Well I found some today. They aren't exactly what I wanted as they are tab top and my curtain rods in the master bedroom are track ones so that they can be opened and closed. but I will find a way to use them. I'm going to have a valance anyway so I'm not overly worried that the tops will look funny so long as I can hang them up.

Brought boxes home from work so I can start the packing of books and DVDs and the like.But I won't start tonight. I'm tired now. Instead I'm going to go finish my latest book Kitty Takes a Holiday and go spend some quality time with the felines.
