Do I just have a flashing neon sign

that says "I don't matter?"

Every now and the the world conspires against me and makes me feel like why should I bother.

Today is a prime example.

I had made arrangements a month ago for the Salvation Army to come today to pick up the stuff that didn't sell in the Garage Sale.

I got up early today and went to the Doma to haul the stuff out of the garage and into the Driveway so that it was there for them to pick up.

I go out to sit outside on my lunch and I get the sound of voicemail received (my cell doesn't get reception in the office). I check my voicemail and it's them saying "oh, we are down a driver and are pushing your pick up until the 27th of July."

So of course I call them upon my return and say "um... no. I"m moving. It needs to be gone by the end of the month. If you can't do it, I"ll call the Good Will or AmVets." So now it's been pushed to June 27th. Yeah. so on my birthday I have to go over in the morning and once again haul it all out of the garage and into the driveway.

This is me not thrilled. What is it with people breaking appointments with me?

SA update

So on my way out to my car after work the "you've got voicemail" chime rings on my phone.

I check it and it's a message from the Salvation Army "good news, we can pick the stuff up Friday".

I sigh. My first thought was "great, I'll just run to the Doma and throw a tarp over everything." Then I called dicea since she's near a TV or computer to see what the Weather Channel says the forcast is for now until Friday Morning.

Of course... scattered showers. Even with a tarp I can't be sure the stuff won't get wet.

So off to the Doma I go, haul it all back into the garage. Friday morning I'll get up and head back over to pull it all back out into the driveway again.

If I have to move those damn LP records one more time after Friday I'm going to scream. Those suckers are heavy.

Scrolls for the month are done.

Finished the calligraphy on the AoA this evening. While I ate dinner the painting of the Keystone got finished.

I got the wording for the end of the month done and out during work today.

I do have a backlog for Pennsic but I've had it now for 3 years. I think he'll cope if I don't get it done for this one.

I'll get the scrolls to Dicea tomorrow, who will in turn give them to the person transporting the scrolls to the event this weekend.

Now I can totally focus my energy to packing.
