stuff accomplished
Jul. 28th, 2007 01:15 pmGot the AC unit to the freecycle lady. filled the van with more boxes of books to bring to the doma.
Still no coronet box. Tonight when it's cooler out I'm going to pull EVERYTHING out of the garage. I need to anyway to get to the folding table that i need for pennsic (not to mention finding the platform part of my camp bed.
Got craft wire at Michaels, along with some beads for pearls to make at least one circlet style coronet (I need something to hold my veils down.
Went to Walmart for cat food and got a bunch of other things I need for war.
Then to home depot. I've been trying for 5 years now to figure out a headboard for my bed. Today- based on an inspiration from the Dicea I made one. I got 3 ft. trelles edging for gardens and some EMT clamps and voila - headboard. It's not the sturdiest thing in the world but it will keep my pillows from constantly falling onto the ground at night.
Water is going on the front yard.
The girls should be at war now (or really damn close to pulling in).
I'm going to go try to make a coronet all by myself then unload the van and get to work finishing the sewing I want to get done for war.
Wish me luck.

Garage has been emptied, sorted and repacked. Still no hat box. I guess next step is to look through the stuff in the family room and dining room again. It's really starting to bug me that I can't find it. Tomorrow I'll call my aunt and uncle and see if by some weird chance it ended up in their car during the move. Did manage to find my Banner though. So it wasn't a total waste of time.
Tomorrow I have to clean out the rest of the junk in the van (who knows maybe the tin slid under the only two seats still in the car) and go hit BJ's and wegmans for food/drink for war.
I've gotten 1 tunic and 2 hoods done. I have another hood in need of buttons/button holes and a pair of pants that just needs elastic. I hope to get at least one more tunic done tonight. And tomorrow I will try to get the rest done to the point where I just need help hemming. That's the hope anyway. Plans could change without notice.
