Doing a bit better

last night the puppy and I had good snuggle time as I curled up in bed under a nice warm electric blanket and watched the CSI/Without a Trace 2 parter.

He let me sleep last night without whining to get out of his kennel to do his business. Or if he did, I didn't hear him. But he used the paper in his kennel so either way I'm happy.

My big excitement last night was that, while looking for more books to loan to dheidre I found the research I couldn't find for NaNoWiMo. This is good as I totally flopped in working on "The First Trumpet" and maybe I can sit down this weekend and plug out a good bit on "Yours Truly".

I also managed to pin down all 4 animals to collect samples for theboomboom. Have you ever tried to collect 25-50 hair samples from a 8 week old chihuahua when they don't really shed and haven't learned to appreciate the joy of a nice brushing? I don't recommend it unless you want an exercise in futility.

I'm looking forward to family dinner tonight. Haven't had Pho in so long I can't remember it.

Work is progressing. Despite leaving later AND going to get breakfast I still ended up at work at 7:35. So I sat in my car and read part of the new Nightside book until it was closer to 8. I'm sure I will get my internal clock reset for my schedule eventually. I'm ready to shoot three of the girls in my area because the last two weeks they have been doing nothing but sniping, snarking, snipping and bitching at and about each other. I swear, no jury would convict me. Especially with the other two to support me in it.

But it's Friday. Only 6 hours until the end of the day. I can survive.

Maybe.
