This morning I got the living room and dining room vacuumed. Last night I had sprinkled carpet fresh all over both rugs, baby gated off the rooms and let the powder do it's mojo.

The living room is to a point where I can cross it off my to-do list.

I"m toying between getting the dining room done (which would also include cleaning up and re-potting all the aloe plants) or the family room (which mostly consists of doing laundry). The upside to the family room - TV is in there and SciFi is running a Dark Angel marathon. Upside of the dining room - not as much work.

I should also actually run out. I have a package to mail out to Sabriel. And I haven't been out of the house in a while and I'm starting to jones for human contact.

What I actually do will pretty much depend on which room I walk into first that I get the urge to "take care of".

Dining room is pretty much done.

I just need to tackle the aloe, which may not happen. I might just move it all from the dining room into the florida room for the time being.

I also need to put a clean table cloth on the table but that's not a big thing.

I've also gotten the christmas wreaths up out of the basement as well as a box of christmas towels.

I'm tackling the christmas decorations like everything else - slowly. Everytime I go into the basement, I bring a box up.

For now, I'm going to run out to the post office and mail Sabriel's package. Then I'm off to Joann's so that I can find a pattern for the gift for my aunt Patti. Still totally blocked for my uncle.

Anyone got any ideas for a 59 year old man who's a farmer, doesn't collect anything to my knowledge but does watch football?

Dining room is done completely. Even down to repotting the all the aloe and putting the christmas tablecloth and christmas candles on the table.

I have noticed I've been avoiding the family room. Since tomorrow is Wednesday and a normally crappy day for me anyway, I might as well focus all my attention tomorrow on the room I've been avoiding.

Once the family room is done I can concentrate on getting all the holiday decorations out. I want them out and up before the 14th so that the house is all prettified for the guests who are coming out for the event.

This evening so far has consisted of me watching Grimm and Tzar play. It's been cute. Tzar sits there, Grimm bounces back and forth in front of him yipping. Then Grimm runs away and comes back and Tzar "attempts" to tag him. And when Tzar got bored of that, Grimm crawled into his cube snuggly and started yipping and growling and barking at nothing. Dicea says he's singing. I think the critter is just now overtired and needs to sleep. But what does mommy know.

Plans for the rest of the night are to empty the dishwasher and reload (the downside with a clean kitchen - it doesn't stay that way) then relax and watch the final installment of Tin Man.
