Damn that was tough
Jan. 28th, 2008 11:25 amI had sent a resume for an admin assistant for an add I saw in the paper.
It was at a Publishing company less than 3 miles from the house. Full benefits, 401K with company contribution. And well.. they make BOOKS.
The down side is that it's $5K a year less than what I can comfortably accept as my minimum. It's too much of a cut to accept.
I sent a very well worded "I'm sorry" letter saying that I couldn't schedule an interview as I wouldn't want to waste their time when I couldn't accept due to the salary.
My second interview tomorrow had to be moved from 2 to 4. No big deal. I also have an interview Wednesday at 9:30am. I think they are a staffing agency as well. I"m just going to keep interviewing until something comes along.
Today's goal... try to get a nail appointment either today or tomorrow as I popped a nail and they need to be filled. Would be bad to have crappy nails when interviewing with a CEO tomorrow.
