huh

Well, I know I have been learning a great many things at work about the Islamic faith. Today I learned something new.

This week is the Prophet's Birthday. According to the three Muslim calendars hanging around the office Tomorrow is the official day. But apparently there are two schools of thought in regards to when it is celebrated. One sect follows the published calendar. One sect follows the lunar calendar.

Therefore, some people are out of the office today, some are off tomorrow.

I feel guilty about feeling disappointed in this. I was kinda looking forward to having the front office all to myself tomorrow, being able to wear jeans and bringing Little Butt with me. It's not a big deal but it's a little kid-like pout and a "But still..."

My office mate is off today, which I didn't find out until I got in and 'Hamed told me that H was out today. I'm not sure if the boss is coming in today or not. I guess I will find out when and if he shows up.

It's cold and rainy out. Perfect day for warm fuzzy sweaters, big bulky socks, hot cocoa and kitty snuggles. And I'm at work. Meh.
