Wednesday morning
Apr. 2nd, 2008 07:20 amI got up early today. Much earlier than I normally do.
This was because I had a guy coming from the security system company at 7am. I needed to be up, dressed and make sure the house was more or less picked up.
I want to get new keys for the system to make sure I have a spare to give the neighbors when I go on vacation, make sure the girls have a key and then another spare "just in case".
Each key will cost $11.50 plus shipping and handling (another $12 I"m told).
The guy came this morning to do a quick look at the system to see how much it will cost to refit it all for touch pad access. I know it's going to cost more than I really want to pay but I figured it can't hurt to get the quote.
Of course the whole system "needs rewiring because currently it's on a 6 volt system and in the mid '80s they went to 12 volt systems."
More than likely I will just order more keys. But it's good to know how much in case I have a windfall some day and want to upgrade.
Grimm is currently sitting at the front door whining because his new friend left and didn't come back. Some guard dog, huh?
Don't particularly want to go into work today. More because there was a lot of stress this last week which, while totally not my fault or doing, I was sucked into and had to help try and deal with. Resolution was not the wanted outcome. Would be nice to just have a bit of time to just sit quietly at home with my puppy and do nothing.
No, if I sat home, I"d still be doing laundry and finishing Baby Boy Nelson's present. It's almost done. I will have it done by Coronation.
Oh well, I will pack my lunch and go in. I'm a good girl.
