Yesterday has proven my theory... if they are going to close part of the I-190 North during the week, it's going to be during 5pm rush hour traffic on a Monday. A couple weeks ago it was because some bozo when crackers and held himself hostage at gun point. Yes you read that right.
Yesterday it was due to a HUGE structure fire at a pool supply warehouse. The fire started at 10am yesterday and as of this morning they were still working on putting it out.
But despite delays and an earlier start, Dicea, Darcy, Grimm and I made it to puppy class on time. We started "Novice Obedience". Grimm wasn't all that keen on it, which I don't blame him as Mommy came home, snagged him out of his pen, strapped his harness on and out the door we went with no real "I love you I missed you I'm so glad to see you time" between home and class.
We are now working on 3 minute sits and 5 minute downs. The Downs were and are going to be an issue. Last night he only wanted to down in my lap. Don't blame him.
We also started working on bigger distances with come. First time he was pretty good and stayed after my third insistence. However the second time around he did not want to stay where I put him and when I started to walk away he would follow. But as I said to Miss Judi the instructor... there are certainly worse things than having a friendly dog who wants to be with you.
The boys are once again the littlest dogs. It's them then their buddy Sampson the pug then we go up in size to a cattle dog and then a golden then BIG dogs. But all the dogs there seem well behaved and friendly. Boris (a rot/mastiff mix I think) didn't want to do come when his daddy called him but came over to join Grimm and Sampson on the sidelines for some play.
Today is tough for me though. Had a thunderstorm roll in around 3am which only woke me up because it startled Grimm. Had trouble going back to sleep and then when I did wake up again I woke to a migraine the size of montana. I'm now at work though, light is off in the office so that my eyes don't hurt too much. Though I am glad I ate breakfast. This way I have had something to throw up.
Fun fun fun.
