I didn't post but let me tell you... Wicked was AWESOME! Touring company or no, this was the best supporting cast I've ever heard. The only complaint I had with it at all was that they could have turned down the volume on the mikes a great deal and we all still been able to hear quite well. I went into the theater with a very mild discomfort. By the end of the evening I had a full blown migraine from the volume. And anyone who has heard the soundtrack knows that its a very forceful one to begin with.

But overall, it was well worth going into debt to get the tickets for Boogies birthday (and by default mine).

Work is going. We are dealing with some fall out with the layoffs a couple weeks ago. In that I do not think the company has ever had to really do much with terminations before and doesn't really have all the proper paperwork in place and someone has come back demanding owed vacation time and I think they deserve it due to lack of proper documentation in their termination AND in the handbook that apparently only I and my two bosses have ever seen. (yeah that's an issue I am trying to resolve by getting the Bosses to revise the handbook and let me distribute it to the other employees.) Frankly I wouldn't blame the guy for going to the Labor Board like he's threatening to do.

Technically I am not HR but I apparently have a fair amount of "experience" with it. Which is sad when you consider that my HR experience has been filling out hiring freeze deferment requests and monitoring timeclocks/schedules and processing time cards for payroll. But since I know that there should be COBRA paperwork and other CYA documentation I'm wondering how long before HR becomes more of my project than my supervisor (who mostly just deals with phoning in payroll).

I can only do so much and that usually just entails "um... have we done X" and "should Y have been processed by now or at all?". I've consulted [livejournal.com profile] dheirdre since she's HR at my old job and found out what should be done with terminations. I'll pass that info off to my supervisor and put it all in his hands.

Health wise... lungs are tight. Couldn't find what I did with my rescue inhaler last night, still couldn't find it this morning. Today was a coffee day. Will look more after puppy class tonight.

Tomorrow morning is a followup visit to the PCP on how I've been with the new daily inhaler and meds. And the answer is MUCH better. This weekend was the first time in 3 weeks that I've needed to use my rescue inhaler. I consider that a VAST improvement.

Looking forward to the weekend and seeing friends and family. Hopefully there will be a minimum of bloodshed and mayhem (not the fun mayhem). So much to do before Pennsic.

Maybe I will take what fealty stuff I can find with me this weekend and have people help me write my oath of service. I really want to have it be a I will I will I do that the royalty ask and I answer instead of a speech type oath. But that can be negotiated.

Right now I'm killing time until the tapes are done that I can take to WNED for uplinking to our satellite and then go get Boo and Darcy for class. Moo all
