Nov. 12th, 2008 07:09 pmI'm cleaning the kitchen this evening in preparation for weekend house guests and I yet again voice to the cats how much I hate cleaning my house.
See I don't mind cleaning someone else's, especially someone I like. But mine... not so much.
Too bad there isn't a house swap for cleaning like they do for vacations. You go to someone's house and clean it, they come to yours and do the same. And not just a straighten up some papers and maybe dust or run a vacuum. actual clean clean with scrubbing of tiles and floors and the like.
but it's not that bad here anymore. Family room is picked up and as soon as laundry is finished all I'll need to do is run a vacuum. Kitchen is close. Florida room will not be a "guest area" this weekend so it will just get a mild picking up and then remain "puppy territory". Guest room just needs clean linens on the bed.
Tomorrow I just need to change the linens in the guest room and run a vacuum in the living room/dining room.
Friday I will conscript some help to hang the shower curtain rod in the guest bath so it can actually be used for more than just potty/brush teeth. This way I don't have to worry about picking up the master bedroom.
