Monday, Monday

Boss is out of town. Office-mate/sorta supervisor out of the office today. Just me and Mohd. in the front of house and he has his own office. So it's basically just me today. Which is perfectly fine in my little world. Though I would have liked to have known before coming in that Office-mate was taking off today before I sat here wondering where he was and if he was ok (weather's starting to turn icky out).

Weather today is going to be interesting. This morning it was 55ºF out with some rain. By the time I got to work it had dropped to 47ºF and the rain was getting worse. Now the rain has lessened but not stopped and they are saying that the temperature is going to drop steadily throughout the day until tonight when it will drastically drop and they are expecting a fast freeze.

So I'm not going out at all today except to pick up the mail after lunch and then to leave the building to go home (with a quick stop at the post office to mail Pop-pop's package off to WA).

My sister comes home for the holidays on Saturday. This means I have to really start working on cleaning up the house after the unpacking of all the holiday decorations. Vacuum up all the rooms, strip, wash and remake up the bed in her room. Maybe (heaven forbid) actually pick up my own room. This would also get me to sort through clothing that I haven't worn in ages and have just kept piled up in corners. By sorting I mean, looking at it and determining if I am actually ever going to wear it again and if not, bag it up and freecylce them. I'd also like to get up in the attic and start getting some of the bags of stuffed animals out of there and put them up for freecycle for folks who need presents for their kids for Christmas.

Thursday Boogie and I are going to see a sneak preview of the movie Valkyrie. I'm looking forward to it. It's been ages since just Boogie and I went and did something together.

but for today, I'm going to take my time working on a busy work project, put something on netflix in the background of my computer (Probably season one of Painkiller Jane) and relax.

Mid Monday

Right now I'm really glad it's kinda warm out. It has been driving rain outside for a while now. Hard with high winds. I can only imagine what it would be like if the air was cold enough for the rain to be sleet or snow.

I have finished one box of business cards for the boss. Right now my "project" is to take all the business cards he has gotten over the last 4 years and put them into a searchable data base. Wheeee fun times.

Three more boxes to go.

I have finished watching the first episode of Painkiller Jane. Not sure yet what I think of the show. I will continue watching/listening until I form an opinion or the season is over.

(no subject)

Weather is interesting. The temperature is just starting to drop but the wind has REALLY picked up. My big blue city issued garbage bin was in the lawn of my across the street neighbor, as was my recycling bin.

But I came home to find a box from Sabriel. It arrived safe and sound. Thank you! All contents are much appreciated.

My latest paperback book swap order also arrived today.

It also only took me 15 minutes at the post office today. I expected to be in line for at least 45 given that today is usually the busiest day for the Post Office during the year. Package should arrive in WA next Monday/Tuesday at the latest, so it will get there before xmas, which is all that matters.

Now I just need to find some dinner for myself and start working on picking up the house.
