crafty things
Apr. 23rd, 2009 06:20 pmtoday seems to be the day of talking about crafts.
I got the fuzzy little critters done for Easter baskets. Of course I totally forgot to take pictures of any of them so I can't share what the finished projects looked like. But they were based on:

While I was home with the stomach crud I started a baby blanket for a co-worker whose wife is due early June. I would have finished it but I ran out of yarn so that will have to wait until at least this weekend.
I finished a pair of long fingerless gloves for the Dicea so her arms won't burn this summer while driving.
And I started on the Duchezz's blanket. While I think this blanket will go faster than the last two, I actually have to pay more attention to the pattern on this one as it's detailed and not just a repeating motif like baby Max's or T's.
I have yarn that I picked up on clearance that is just screaming my sister. And it's soooo soft that I can't wait to play with it. I just need to find the right pattern. It's so mean and evil for yarn to be that nice and not tell you what it wants to be. Or at least what it will compromise to be since I can't get more than the 4 skeins that i bought already.
And at some point I should make up a blanket in the similar style of T's for little Grimm as he looks at the blanket (which has been put up out of reach) with longing as if to say "Momma, why do you take away my blankie?"
