I think the mission is stupid. It's a term. Guardian, owner, master, mistress, kumquat. I don't care what you want to call yourself in relationship to your pet.

I am a pet owner. I have the receipts to prove that I paid money for them.

And until the cat goes out and earns an honest living to pay me back for his education, I'm his bloody owner.
