My back has been bugging me the last several days. When I've been at my desk for a while and then stand up, I'm stiff and feel hunched over.

I switch between my yoga ball chair and my regular office desk chair throughout the day depending on how I feel.

This morning it finally dawned on me. My regular desk chair (not my yoga ball chair) is lower than it used to be. My first thought was someone was messing with it when I was out of the office. But upon inspection it turns out the pneumatic piston for height adjustment is broken. It no longer locks into a height and drops to the lowest setting. Which, honestly is only about an inch or less lower than what I had it set at as I've got short legs, but it was enough to throw my posture and stuff out of whack.

So I start the process of looking for a new chair. When the heck did office chairs get to be so expensive? Holy crap. The place we get our chairs from... their low end stuff is still over $200.

I know I sit for 8+ hours a day or so, therefore I want a decent chair, but the concept of spending $300 for a chair just baffles me.

Anyway, I will make an appointment to go to the showroom and test chairs and hopefully find one that works for me.

Fantasy in Death (In Death, #30)Fantasy in Death by J.D. Robb

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was hesitant to go into this one. The last In Death book I read (Strangers in Death) was so predictable and cliché that it bordered on boring. Perhaps that is why it took me a while to get through the first couple chapters of Fantasy in Death. I was a little gun shy. But, once again the world of Eve Dallas drew me in.

I liked the method of the murders in this one. It was different. The actual murderer was a bit predictable, but that is what I find with pretty much all of the villains in this series. But I do not read this series for the ultimate head scratching who-dunnits. I go in because I like the world, I like the characters and I like the author.

All in all it was a solid, middle of the road book for the series and unlike Strangers in Death, I am not going to be hesitant to read the next.
