just to document

I need a new car. Preferably before Pennsic as the van needs to be inspected and there is no way on this green earth it will pass right now and it will cost more than it's worth to fix. Hell, I'm close to the hoping each day that it doesn't die on me stage... it's close but not quite there.

So I did the grown up thing and put in to my credit union to see if I can get pre-approved and how much and reached out to the old family friend who we have bought all our cars from since I was around 12 to put his feelers out there. I would like the same make and model as having the sto-and-go option for the seats is very useful.

I have nothing saved for a down-payment as I've been trying to pay down some of my credit card debt. And best I could hope for is a bit of "trade for parts" value for the current vehicle. But I do know that I've gotten my credit rating up since the last loan I took out so there's that, and I had my last car loan and a small personal loan through the credit union that I have an excellent history of paying on time.

So fingers crossed.
