Glad Game 2019: August 25- September 1
Sep. 2nd, 2019 03:43 pmAugust 25:
* lazy day after allowing myself to wake up when body wanted to instead of to an alarm.
* went to the local park to take pictures.
* got groceries.
* snuggles with critters
* Lily Rose kisses when she came to bed.
August 26:
* did not beat myself up for gaining a pound. I knew it was going to happen because I kept answering the siren song of pizza.
* working my way through a decent audiobook
* progress on the physical book I'm reading
August 27:
* water goal achieved.
* managed to art on a scroll
* did not actually lose my voice.
August 28:
* got a new printer at work that is so quiet that, even though it is next to my desk, I do not hear it printing.
* survived a Wednesday.
* worked with the Signet and accepted 2 last minute assignments for the weekend. crossing fingers the tremor lets me do it.
* plotted and inked one of the scrolls and picked the blank I will use for the second.
August 29:
* water goal achieved
* Boss bought me lunch when he saw I was in the car behind him at the drive through
* tremor stayed quiet and I got both scrolls done
* worked paid out my unused PTO as my anniversary came around. This allowed me to pay off the second half of my new pavilion roof - should arrive sometime over the weekend.
August 30:
* finished book #66.
* started next audiobook. I appear to be on a non-fiction kick at the moment.
* put my pavilion up in my neighbor's yard as they are having a birthday party this weekend for their 1 year old twins and asked if they could borrow my sunshade. When they said they needed to figure out how to rig up a sheet so they could project Alice in Wonderland (the Disney version) as the theme was Mad Hatter Tea Party, I offered my pavilion instead so they had the walls to use as a screen. Many neighbors were very interested in watching me put the pavilion up and were amazed at how involved it was but how quickly I did it. I guess 20+ years of practice putting the thing up makes for quick work.
* packed and ready for the event
August 31:
* water goal achieved.
* road trip with Minionous Mischevious (Minion 3). Great conversations there and back
* low key event and fun watching the various competitions.
* Heralded Kingdom court and asked to do final court at Coronation.
* Dinner with Minion 3 that produced left overs so I don't have to cook for a couple days.
* Critters happy I came home.
September 1:
* REALLY slept in.
* mock-ups and starting work on scrolls due for Ealdormere and Æthelmearc Coronations.
* slow and steady pace of things throughout the day, no need to rush.
* bedtime snuggles with Grimmy and Nimbus.
