Solutions and Other ProblemsSolutions and Other Problems by Allie Brosh

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When I heard that Allie Brosh had done a second book - a follow up to the wonderful Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened, I was very excited and immediately put it on my Amazon wish list. And I was even more excited to receive it as a Christmas gift. It took all my willpower to not dive into it immediately - but I restrained myself so I could use it for a category in a couple 2021 reading challenges.

That being said, I really liked this book. It was darker in a lot of ways from Hyperbole and a Half as it deals with coping with the death of a sibling, the ending of a long term relationship and then learning how to be alone and all the emotional pitfalls that come with that - especially battling depression.

While dark in many ways, it was still funny. It was also incredibly relatable to me and I actually see myself returning to this book from time to time for a smile as well as to remind myself that I am not alone.
