The Asshole Survival Guide: How to Deal with People Who Treat You Like Dirt by Robert I. Sutton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a frank and blunt look at how to survive the day-to-day interactions with those people who could be described best as certifiable assholes. Geared mostly around the workplace environment, there are also good guidelines for dealing outside the office.
While a lot of it had me going "well that's rather obvious", at the same time, it allowed me to know that my feelings are valid and not blown out of proportion. Sometimes seeing something in writing from a stranger helps you believe the obvious.
But it doesn't just help you identify the asshole and how to deal with them, it gives counterpoints and guidance on how to not be the asshole in the room yourself.
This is a book that I would, and DO recommend to others.
