It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas

Well not quite. There's still grass on the ground. Not that I'm complaining mind you. I hate snow. Evil vile disgusting stuff. When I am queen of the universe I will decree that snow may only fall on Christmas Eve but must melt the day after Christmas never to return for another year. But well, until then, I know I live in upstate New York and a chance of a snow free winter is impossible.
Anyway. This is my note to my out of town friends. Mostly the out of state ones and out of country ones. I just looked at my bank account. And well... your gifts ain't getting mailed out this week and most likely not next. I get paid next Thursday so maybe after paying the car insurance, the heat, the electricity, the cable and putting gas in the car, I MIGHT have enough to mail your gifts.
I appologize for that. Woogieman, this means your birthday gift, which is already MONTHS late, is going to be a bit later. Your Christmas present will get ordered once I have some money, but that means it probably won't be there by the holiday. I'm sorry. To my friend in England... I'm sorry but it won't be there for your birthday. And the way customs goes... maybe not for Christmas.
I still have shopping to do for my mother. The woman who goes "oh I don't need or want anything." Then manages to come up with some suggestions that my sister and I find impossible to fill. Like an inexpensive VCR. HELLO.... today's day and age it's DVD players. Those we can find for $20. The cheapest VCR we can find is $50. And that's just a VCR. Not one of those cool VCR/DVD player ones. And we couldn't get that. That's too noo and techno for mom. Then she suggests replacement cups for her antique hot chocolate set. Mom... I love you but have you noticed that your youngest daughter is unemployed and your eldest was unemployed for 3 months this year and is just now starting to get out of the debt she went into for that time? My mother is a good woman, though frustrating. She finally tells me and Sis something that we can afford to get her. And what does she do? She goes and buys it 3 weeks before christmas for herself! BLAH!.
Anyway, I should return to work and earn the paycheck that will send the gifts out and get the gifts for mom.
Love you all.
Happy holidays.
