accomplished something
Nov. 29th, 2007 05:23 pmI got the living room windows, the 1/2 bath window, master bedroom windows and master bath window all plasticed.
At first I had thought I wouldn't. I mean less than 5 years ago mom got all the windows replaced. But we have had a really nasty windstorm hovering over the area. So today I went out and bought tons of window shrink wrap.
What surprised me, the master bath and master bedroom windows REALLY leaked. When I got the plastic up but before I started using the hair drier, the plastic ballooned big time.
So much for nice, energy efficient windows huh?
I'll get the kitchen, dining room, guest bath done tomorrow. I am not sure about doing the florida room windows as th ey don't seem too bad. I'd like to do my sister's room and the guest room though. Sister's room will depend on if I can actually get to the windows through all the stuff. I might leave the guest room unplasticed as I know some of my regular guests think I keep the house too warm and this way they could open the window if they needed to.
I also need to find where my draft dodgers are out in the garage. between those and the plastic that should help greatly in the energy conservation.
