It's Wednesday. So far it has not been my usually totally sucktastic example of Wednesday.

Today is Eid-al-Fitr. The big Islamic holiday to celebrate the end of Ramadan. This means everyone in the front office but me is off today. I could have taken today off but instead I'm going to save it as a floating holiday so I can take the long weekend and go see my sister over Thanksgiving. I left Little Butt at home. He was tired and cranky this morning, much like his momma, so I just let him stay home with his blankey and his heaty-thing (the microwavable heating pad for dogs) and left him in his room watching the cartoon network.

Right now I'm freezing. It's cold and wet and grey outside. I've turned the heat on and hopefully it will get warmer in here soon. Normally I don't touch the thermostat here because the boss gets hot quickly (gee he's a HUGE man in a little office that has no air circulation because he keeps the door closed. Wonder why he gets hot).

I have some work to do today. Right now not particularly motivated to even open the folder, let alone work on it.

So instead I thought I should sit and figure out the things I need to get done over the next 6-8 weeks.

- continue working on organizing the garage so I can have a chance of parking in it once the snow starts to fly.

- 2 scrolls due for Amethyst Tournament (need to work with Dicea on what we are doing) Think the event is November 15. (Will then need to coordinate getting the scrolls to the event)

-Not going to Harvest Raids. (only reason had thought I might be going is no longer an option)

-Start winterizing the Doma. Plastic up on all windows, storm window in Florida Room storm door, fix the door jam on the door to the garage from when we had to bust through to actually get back into the house from me being a dumbass and locking the keys inside, change filter on furnace. (Door jam and plastic are the important ones)

-Get out to the Caer at least 2 times to help there.

-Get little snowblower to hardware store for tune up to see if they can actually get it started so I don't have to try to shovel a 2.5 car wide driveway that's at least 100 feet long

-Get a new electric blanket for my bed (Grimm chewed a hole in my old one) and maybe a new regular blanket that actually fits the bed rather than trying to make a twin sized blanket fit on a full sized bed.

-Attend "Have Fun Storming the Castle" event (November 15)

-Thanksgiving in Washington, DC with sister. End of October need to make sure get time off request in.

-Finish xmas present for T. I got the blanket about 1/4 of the way done (Might be as much as 1/3 but I think that's pushing it). This is doable if I work on it a little bit each night.

-start the holiday shopping/gift making

You need a nice cup of tea and some good music.

*smiles*

He loves his heaty thing. To the point he sits in the kitchen and watches the microwave while I'm heating it up and once I've put it down for him he curls up on it and gives me a look that clearly says "Okay, I'm done with you, you may leave. Why are you still here?"

And the one day I did not leave the TV on the cartoon network I came home to find he had gotten into a couple things and torn them to shreds. So now the cartoon network gets left on while I'm at work.

October 25th is Hawk Creek's Here There Be Dragons event.

" Who said Dragons are not real? Decide for yourself. Learn all about the real dragons of the world. See them up-close, along with live owls & other nocturnal hunters that go bump in the night—& for one day only, they won’t be shy! Don’t worry—we’ll remember to feed them..."

Wanna go.
