From Her Grace:

dogs - always had a dog growing up. I was pretty miserable when I lived in apartments and could not have one. Cats are great, but there is something about a dog that makes you know you are well and truly loved.

royalty - in the SCA they are to me, the ultimate servants. They are there to put on a show and make the experience more meaningful for the rest of the players. It is hard work that unless you actually are/have been royalty, you will never understand just how hard. Even us professional retainers only have a glimmer of an idea.

work - some day I would like to have a place where I work that I enjoy almost every day. It's a necessary thing. But if I won the lottery or something where I didn't have to work, I would still find something to do. Probably really focus on TDI work then.

housekeeping - I hate this with a passion. But I don't make enough money to hire someone to do it for me. So I tend to put it off until absolutely necessary (which is when I get sick of the mess or company is coming)

dinner - family time. growing up, my mother insisted on family dinner meals at the table. This changed when dad died, but to me it is a "this is what families do" thing. I look forward to Friday Family Dinner with the girls and my week feels wrong when we do not have it.

kink- honestly, I do not think there is such a thing. Everyone has something that puts that spark into their lives. For some it's leather, some it's food, some it's music, some it's language, some it's whips and toys. There is no right or wrong way to do things. What works for you may not work for me, but that does not mean your experience is any less valid than mine and vice versa. YKINMKBYKIF

meal- the result of preparation of food and partaking of the food in more than a wolfing it down on the go or standing over the kitchen sink. Meal means ritual to me, not just satisfying a need.

soy- DEATH!!! I actually wish I could have it in more than very very small trace amounts. Some foods that are full of it smell so good, that i wish I could just have a taste.

eeyore - best little donkey in the world. I love his outlook on life. He is my hero

safe - something I need to feel. I must have places I can go that are "safe". Usually involves a small place behind a chair.
