The Pleasure of My Company: A Novella by Steve Martin

I enjoyed this story. More so because it was read by the author (which I always prefer for audiobooks).

Martin did a great job with delving into the mind of a severe Obsessive-Compulsive and how he has to go about things just to get through the day. I liked the character of Daniel and how he thinks and tries to find someone who can understand his quirks.

I would have liked to have seen more interaction with Brian and the follow up after their trip together. Instead it just seemed that the trip happened and Brian no longer existed. But given that this was a novella exploring the relationship Daniel has with certain women in his life, I can understand there not being much about his friendship with Brian. It just was a rather abrupt stop with him though.

All in all, I liked it and may seek out other books by Steve Martin.
