Glad Game 2020: March 15-26
Mar. 27th, 2020 03:59 pmThe last two weeks have been insanely stressful with the whole Covid-19 outbreak and having to completely change the definition of "Normal" in both work and private life. As such I've been bad about finding the glad in each day. I will endevor to do better going forward as it is going to be key to surviving the lockdown/quarantine/isolation that this virus pandemic has brought forth.
That being said, here's what I jotted down for the last two weeks:
* 9 out of 10 days I met my water goal
* 2 scale victories - lost a total of 1.75 lbs for the two weeks for a ytd total of 8 lbs.
* finished 3 books and started another. eventually I will get the paperback I'm reading done.
* cooked up and prepackaged meals for the week
* ordered a new printer so I can more easily work from home. Working from home also required ordering a couple other organizational things so I can keep my work things together and not get mixed up with my home things.
* started walking on my lunch break so that I actually leave the house, while remaining socially distant. I'm getting a little over a mile in under 30 minutes.
* been sending and receiving thinking of you/touching base cards. One thing this whole situation has brought is a return to old fashioned letter writing as a personal touchstone with people.
* this whole not going anywhere is certainly going to save me on gas.
* going through Roku options I found pluto tv which has a 24 hour Leverage channel. This is awesome. Can totally binge watch one of my favorite shows over and over again. Once I get bored of that I may switch to the 24 hour classic Dr. Who channel.
*finished a scroll and sent image off for virtual court.
* filled the bird feeders and my beloved corvids are back. I was tickled to see several of the orange cardinals coming and I've counted 4 different blue jays.
