A Glimpse into my mind

Had fun at scribal. Plus, you know, Gelato! and seeing Sophie!

came home from scribal to find Grimmy standing, facing a corner, ears and tails up and alert. I hear chirping coming from the corner that sounds very much like one of the cats' chirpy mouse toys. Thinking that he's got it stuck and can't get it out I go over to retrieve it, only to discover he has cornered a vole and every time it tries to leave the corner he hits it with his paw, causing it to chirp. I grabbed a cup, scooped up the thing and tossed it back outside (ok, I walked it across the back yard and tossed it into crazy Italian lady's yard).

I think my dog really does think he's a cat.

progress on scroll. All inked and some paint done. Not as much as I would have liked, but more than I had when I sat down this morning.

Day 5:
Rather than just sit for the second half of my lunch hour (having forgotten a book or crochet project at home), I put on my sneakers and went and walked the mall for 1/2 hour. It wasn't much but it was getting up and doing something rather than just sitting. I may see about doing that at least twice a week.

Day 6:
Finally had "just us Christmas" with the girls. Had dinner at Cheeseburger Cheeseburger (much yummy winningness) then back to the Doma for gift exchange. I think they really liked all the gifts (even the silly fleece stuffed owl that I got for Katie went over well) and dicea is now officially the Deliverator.

enjoyable time at Baronial 12th night this evening

I have a sturdy house over my head, a warm blanket to curl up under, a puppy to curl up on my lap and instant streaming on Netflix. Certainly worse ways to spend a Sunday
