Great Cake experiment part 2

baronessekatLast night I tried to make the soda pop cake again.
This time I made it with a generic devil's food cake mix and I used a can of Waist Watchers diet Black Cherry soda.
I liked it. Considering I'm not real fond of chocolate cake. But I made it for my WW meeting as most had not heard of this recipe and seemed a bit nervous about the idea.
It went over well at the meeting. I sent some to Boo and Boogie so I'll have to get their verdict on the flavor.
The cherry didn't really come through as a flavor, more of a depth to the richness of the chocolate.
Next experiment: spice and root beer.
