“I didn’t start this.”
“Oh that’s right. The Alliance starts the war. Then you volunteer. The battle of Serenity, Mal.”
That’s when I saw them. The things I held dear that were destroyed by the all mighty Alliance.
My mother, Bendis, Private Green, Tracey, Lt. Baker, the entire 37th division, and more than anything my faith in something above and outside of myself.
I didn’t notice that he was still talking until he yelled at me. I couldn’t say anything. Zoe made him leave before I could. It’s just as well. I was too busy trying to banish the ghosts.
