Adventures in Wonder-underland
Jul. 8th, 2006 11:11 pmWell not really. I didn't use any of the stuff today.
But I feel that I got a lot accomplished on the sewing front.
Got the facing and neckline trim done on the blue linen tunic as well as all the seams sewn. I need to get the hem marked that way I can hem it and put the hemline trim on.
A black gauze tunic is totally done.
I also got trial run #1 of the ghwazze done. While this one fits it's VERY snug. I thought I had made enough allowances from the duct tape wrap but I think the next one I try is going to be a full inch added to the seams rather than 1/2 inch. I need to get buttons for this one. I thought I had buttons but when I pulled them out it turns out I have 2 buttons that are 1" in diameter and 2 buttons of the same style in 1/2" diameter. Nt going to cut it in my book. So I'll get some buttons next weekend after I get paid and can complete that coat.
It was nice having a day at home to myself. Had to argue with the cats that when mommy wants alone time she means ALONE time and that does not mean coming and sitting on her every chance you get. They eventually learned though and made their place on the head of the camp bed in the spare room and oversaw all the sewing.
If I have time tomorrow I think I'm going to sew the seams on the teal gauzy pants and the red and blue plaid ones.
I need to give my back a small break as the camp bed is very low to the ground and bending over it all day to cut patterns and stuff out made it ache something fierce.
After war and I get health insurance through the new job... I am sooooooooooo going to find myself a chiropractor and get everything in line. That will make the Ekat a very happy person.
Anyway, off to find a snack, and curl up with my book and then sleep.
g'night
