what the heck was I thinking?

baronessekatI finished the red and blue plaid flannel pants. I just need to hem them and get a drawstring.
I grabbed the brown cotton pants that I started 3 years ago to put the waist in and blinked. Now I know I cut them big then. I was a good 50 pounds heavier then. But holy handgrenades... they are HUGE!. Before I put the waist in I think I'm going to have to rip them apart and take them in a lot.
This means the camel flannel ones and the blue gauze ones need to be taken in too. And here I thought I just needed to put the waists in and cuff them.
Oh well. Luckily pants are all of three seams plus waist and cuffs.
I really should pick up some black cotton for a pair of pants as well. I have leggings but I am afraid they are going to be too heavy for pennsic. We'll see how the rest of the other sewing comes along before i do that though. I could always take the dress/work pants that no longer fit right for work/dress and adapt them some for pants for under tunics and middle eastern and russian coats. That may be a fall back. We shall see.
next project: fix then finish the pants I've got partially sewn.
