It slid in smoothly, a perfect fit and she let out a sigh. “That’s right baby. Give it to me.”

Shift a little to the left, wiggle a bit. Slide over to the right, wiggle more and add an up and down motion.

She purred as she felt it hit the sweet spot. Words of encouragement and soothing tumbled effortlessly out of her mouth

“That’s it. You know you want to give it to me. You’ll feel so much better after.”

She gave the wrench one good hard jerk and once again, Serenity was able to move at top speeds.

For the record, I always love these little SERENITY blurbish entries. Who did that "A woman walks into a bar"-thing? Whose idea was it? Was that 'Dicea? We should do more of that, it was cool, and my brain needs the exercise...

I belong to firefly100 which is a community where once a week a new "challenge" is issued and anyone who wants is to write a 100, 200, 300, or 400 word short story based on the topic of the week.

Back in college I used to belong to a writing group where we would be given the first line of a short story to write.

Maybe after Pennsic I'll come up with something like that again.
