I don't know how much more I can take.

Today I ate dinner, sat and watched a little TV then worked up the energy to step foot into the sewing room.

I look at all the stuff cut out in the pile of "to do" and feel the overwhelming urge to cry.

I never even thought about the effect weight loss would have on me for Pennsic other than that I'd look good and maybe, just maybe turn a couple heads that I've wanted to turn for a while.

But... this having to make all new garb just to have stuff to wear and not look like I've raided a big siblings closet is too much.

And this is with me dropping 2 tunics, 2 cotehardies, a coat and a shirt off at my mother's for her to sew.

I know I'm only going to be there just over a week. But since nothing fits anymore I have to remake all types of garb. Warm weather and cold weather. I'm really starting t hate my sewing machine. Just the sight of it.

The rational part of me is saying that I haven't had to do a big pennsic sewing fest since my first war (Pennsic 24) and that I am due to have one again. Once a decade isn't too bad. But... working two jobs and sewing constantly when home is getting overwhelming.

But if I don't do anything I get the suffocating feeling of guilt because I should be sewing.

update sad state of things when I stare at a coat and can't figure out how big to make a stupid button hole and have to call my mother to get my brain to work again and have her help me figure out how big to make them.

OK, done whining now. thank you for listening

Meh. Make a couple of outfits and plan to do hand-laundry. Don't exhaust yourself now.

Oh how I do dislike it so when that "rational part of me" starts talkin'.

And as for turnin' heads? Am certain you will.

Oh...and "meh"? I think once [livejournal.com profile] dheirdre and I concluded that it's Yiddish for "whatever"? I could be wrong, but I know we did have a discussion about it.

Meh is the phrase used by beloved departed Nicodemus. While rather talkative and knew english very well, his best phrase of expressing his general dislike of the world at times was "meh" which he would say emphatically with a squinting of the eyes and a tilt of the head.
