I like mornings.
I like that no one else is up when I want to get up. I can put the television onto whatever station I want (don't tell anyone that it's usually the same stations the others watch...shhhhhhh). I can lay there and enjoy the process of waking up.
I can also have the bathroom to myself. I can spend 45 minutes on my hair without someone yelling at me to hurry up.
I can have a leisurely breakfast as I have a long conversation with the kitten over how much she hates that her brother wants to wrestle in the morning and does all kinds of stupid boy things. "Mrerrrrrrow, *sqeak*" translates quite well to "Boys are stupid".
I even started dinner. Nothing fancy. Just throw a beef round into the slow cooker with some water and spices. When we get home tonight we will have beef.... um... something. Stew, soup, something. Throw some veggies in and viola... food.
I don't particularly want to go to work today. But alas, like most things in life, it is a necessary evil. Work = money = pay bills = no annoying phone calls from people wanting their money.
We've been reading this really wierd book that Boo gave us to read. I don't think some of the others are OK with it. I find it annoying, lecturing, stereotypical and honestly think that the author needed to do more research on the subject. I am not sure what the others think, but I do know that a few have decided they are not reading anymore of it and are going to lock themselves away until the rest of us are done with it.
Oh well. It's getting on 7:30 which means time to get in the car and fight traffic and go to work. And wake up Elisabeth to drive. She's better at it than I am.
Ciao.

Date: 2005-03-29 09:40 am (UTC)However, Since the Dork Author didn't include a bibliography, I want to check the aknowledgements because the only mention of resources are internet resources. Assuming that I could do a fairly reasonable job of researching something on the internet, I tried but found resources that range from questionable and ego-serving to melodramatic and subversive. Remind me later and I'll write down the names mentioned in the back of the book.
Enough babbling here, see you later.
