1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? --well seeing how I’m allergic to eggs. Hot chocolate hands down. I like to melt a candy cane in mine

2. Does Santa wrap the presents or just set them under the tree? Now that we are grown – he wraps them

3. Colored or white lights on the tree/house? Colored if it’s strands of lights. White if it’s the icicle lights. For the tree – I have no preference

4. Do you hang mistletoe? nope..

5. When do you put up your decorations? When I started to live on my own, they went up the minute I got home from my parents house on Thanksgiving day. This year is the first year I haven’t done that. I’m hoping this weekend.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? No real preference of “oh my god I can’t wait to have X”. But I don’t eat squash, cranberries or asparagus.

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I had to have been 4. I had severe pneumonia at Christmas. My parents and I had gone to see Santa earlier at the mall and I had forgotten to tell him I wanted a Wonder Woman Barbie doll. I was so depressed because now he didn’t know that I really wanted the doll. But the weekend before Christmas we were at the home of some family friends (this was just as I was starting to get sick) and I was sleeping on their couch. Santa came to the house and he gave me the Wonder Woman doll. I remember being so happy that he knew what I really wanted.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Not sure. Just knew some how when I was around 7.

9. Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve? Nope

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? put lights on first then ornaments. Last year my little tree was nothing but little carasel horse ornaments (I collect them). Usually it’s a hodge podge of homemade ornaments and store bought ones that I like

11. Snow! Love or Dread it? It can fall Xmas eve and melt the morning of the 26th for all I care

12. Can you ice skate? With my coordination?!?!?!?! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

13. Do you remember your favorite gift as a child? The wonder woman doll.

14. What is the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Seeing the happiness of my friends when I find the perfect thing for them.

15. Favorite holiday dessert? Not a desert person

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas eve dinner with my family. We have had the same meal for almost 30 years now. It’s what helps make the holiday real for me. It’s the only day of the year we have that particular meal.

17. What tops your tree? My tree’s not up yet. I had a blown glass tree topper until a certain Norwegian Forrest Cat knocked the tree over last year. I have a cheap dollar store star now that will go on this year.

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Giving

19. What is your favorite Christmas song? I have to pick one???? I have 27 CD’s of xmas music. My favorite traditional song is Carroll of the Bells. Modern – Have yourself a merry little Christmas by Chicago

21. What is your favorite holiday movie? The Bishop’s Wife and The Santa Clause. I’m actually more of a Christmas/Holiday specials person over holiday movies. I will watch the Family Channel from Dec 1 until Christmas because they run all the old Chirstmas specials I remember from my childhood. And if you need to know…The Chuck Jones version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is my all time favorite. (The Jim Carry movie sucked and Dr. Seuss is rolling in his grave over that horror)
