Today started with actually sleeping in. I'm shocked. Usually I'm still awake at 7/7:30am on weekends. But today I didn't wake up until 9:30. Took a leisurely time getting up and dressed then headed over to the insurance compay.
Walrusman had no clue why my landlord got a notice that my renter's insurance had lapsed. He printed me out proof of payment and active account to give to landlord and said if they need, he'll get State Farm to write a letter of guarentee that I have the stupid stuff.
Headed then to get my nails done. Unfortunately they had a girl out sick and were like double if not triple booked. So, Jenny asked if I would mind coming back at 2:30. Sure no problem. Especially since the only thing else I had planed for the day was to pay my electric bill, do a light bit of grocery shopping and then houseclean.
Went and did the light grocery shopping. And that's when the quest began. I decided to get the stuff to make the shepherd's pie again. Then I remembered... my potato masher had broken so I needed a new one.
I checked the kitchen gizmo isle at Wegmans. The potato masher peg was empty.
I went across the street to Tops (where I paid said electric bill) and checked the kitchen gizmo isle. Potato Masher peg was empty.
Now I'm on a mission. Tops is only two blocks from K-Mart. No potatoe mashers. I go into the dollar store in the same plaza. All kinds of kitchen do-dads but no potato mashers.
What is it? Has everyone in Buffalo gone on a mad potato masher buying spree that I've never heard about. Is the Saturday after Easter/Saturday before Eastern Orthodox Easter national Potato Masher day?
Undaunted I try Wal-mart. There I get the LAST ONE.
AFter all that I went back and go my nails done. Made an appointment for three weeks from now for the works... nails filled, pedicure and eyebrows. Jenny was amazed at my WW progress and I said I think that I can make my goal in three weeks. I need 7.4 more pounds for goal. If I work at it I can make it happen in three. And if I don't I'll still have done really well overall. She said I should bring Boo with me to have her watch the whole manicure/pedicure thing. Jenny's evil. Fun but evil. Still need to get her to go out with Boo, Boogie and I for Pho.
OK... now... need to work on a plan of attack for cleaning. The kitchen really needs it. So that will most likely be the first battle front. After that we will see.
Need to also find a recipe to use for the ham I have in the fridge.
