Today was weigh in. I had set myself to accept a gain. I blew all my flex points plus 8 over that.

The Wendie plan may work from some people, I found I ate more than I ever did, AND that the numbers didn't add up right. for the 22 point range, it didn't add up correctly when I did the tally. So I stopped myself half way through it and went back to normal Flex system and counted the points.

But knowing I had gone way over, I started the workout I bought last week. I got "Walk away the pounds" dvd set and have been doing the one or two mile almost every day (didn't do it thursday last week as I was flat on my back sick). I had just been praying that I'd maintain or only have a very slight gain.

Went to the meeting today and before even getting on the scale I told my leader how bad I did this week but was hoping the exercise helped to cancel some of it out.

And whoa! 2.4 pound loss.

I still have a chance of making my personal goal of 30 pounds gone by next week (that's when the pedicure and manicure are booked for). I'm going ot keep up with the workout and see if I can drop it.

But here's the ticker:

I've been watching the PBS miniseries "Texas Ranch House" this week. I've now caught several versions of this experiment and "Manor House" is still my favorite thus far.

Can I say... Mrs. Cooke needs to learn to shut the F up and read her little guide book. Hello... 1867 women did not side by side run the ranch with their husbands? Back off and let him do his job without constantly undermining him and tearing him down the minute he makes a decision without you.

Mr. Cooke... grow some f'ing balls when it comes to your wife. AND... let the help do their jobs. A foreman is there to be your go between with the hands. Let him! And don't go hiring help without consulting the man who has to work side by side with them.

Personally I hope, like Colonial House, they fail. They are there for an adventure and a vacation. Not there to do the actual experiement and learn and see how it was like.

And Cooke daughters... put on some bloody clothes. Yes it's hot. Too bad. Walking around in a shift and underskirt is outrageous for the time you are trying to recreate. Put on the corset, put on the dress and show some damn decency.

And being upset that you got tricked by the indians is stupid. It was your own damn fault for assuming they meant they would return Jared with his horse AND give you four on top of the four the offered in trade. Especially when they asked, in my opinion, for fair market value of the mustangs... 40 head of cattle for 4 broken mustangs. I think they did a great job tricking the stupid white folk. Just because you didn't read the fine print or check the horses out before leaving the trade place is your own damn fault. And you call yourself a business man.

Be grateful you got your hired hand back at all. The comanche were not exactly known for their peaceful ways dumbass. You're lucky they let Robbie return to let you know they wanted trade AND gave you back your man. Not to mention left your house standing, your men alive AND your women unharmed.

And don't get me started about the Maid who became a cowgirl. Grrrrrr.

At least it's over tomorrow. Hopefully the next House show will have more competant people.
