Saturday is all about hermiting
Jan. 6th, 2007 09:37 pmToday is the first Saturday in ages where I was home, had no other commitments or obligations. It was weird. Kinda lonely but ina good way.
Fighting a few minor asthma flair ups but I can deal with those.
So what did I do on my free Saturday? I sat in my sewing room working on 12th night presents. Of the 6 that I had that needed major work on, I got all but one to the stage of being able to not sit at the sewing machine. The one that's left has only two major seams to be sewn. But that's going to wait until tomorrow as it's fine tight work and I'm tired.
Watched 6 episodes of Highlander the TV series (Season two) and 4 episodes of Firefly. It's nice having a lap top with DVD capabilities to set up in next to the sewing maching.
All in all, despite feeling a bit lonesome for some social interaction, I had a really good and productive day.
Hopefully Dicea will feel up to walkies tomorrow. If she's not I will still go by myself. Maybe take myself to a movie. I kinda want to see "Night at the Museum".
Then I will get to work on finishing at least a few of the presents. But for now, I'm going to find a snack and a book and try to unkink the spine that has been hunched over a sewing maching for 10 hours.
