Mall survival
Jan. 7th, 2007 02:31 pmI got up and headed to the mall for Sunday Walkies by myself. Didn't go to the one Dicea and I usually go to as I didn't feel like driving that far. Just went to the one around the corner from me.
Started walking at 10:30 and did 1.5 laps in less than 45 minutes, which means I was walking at a good clip since a full lap (upstairs and down) is 2 miles.
Did a little bit of necessary shopping... as in I go new sneakers. First time in almost 10 years I have white sneakers again. But they have silver and dark grey on them so they aren't too white.
Decided against the movie. Instead I took advantage of a new hair place opening in the mall doing $10 hair cuts. Got trimmed and shapped up and styled. I am sooooo definately going to go back. The stylist (Jimmy) chatted just the right amount, sympathized with me in the right spots about having boyfriends and sweeties who would pout severly if I actually cut it as short as I've been tempted to do. DO not worry my loves, I only took an inch off to get rid of the dead ends. but I have Jimmy's card now and will call him again. He even scolded me just like my nail girl does for going so long between trims. I promised him I would be back within 8 weeks. Not the 6 months like it was since my last cut/trim.
I would post pictures but I havne't figured out how to connect the new digital camera to the computer yet and Me taking my own picture is a study in personal torture. Next time I will do as Dicea said and take the camera and have Jimmy take the picture.
Now I'm chowing down a late lunch so I can go finish the machine sewing part of 12th night prezzies.
