Just kill me now... PLEASE
Sep. 13th, 2007 09:48 amYesterday I got the apartment clean except for the kitchen floor. I will go back Saturday and do that. I had to stop because the combination of fumes from the murphy’s oil soap I used on the paneling and wood floors AND the lemon Lyson I used to clean the bathroom and the sink/counters was too overwhelming and my asthma was not happy for it. So I will go back Saturday and finish up.
This morning I woke up, this time with 6 mousies in the bed with me and a Tzar giving me a “what you like Mousies” look, to feeling my lungs complaining, my head hurting and my nose running. What I wouldn’t have given to be able to stay home. But the combination of only having 3.25 hours of personal time left AND having to help accounts because they are sort staffed, got me out of bed and in the car and off to work. Get to work, do my morning ritual of checking the call in line to discover – receptionist calling in. Not good. Not only does this mean I get to spend the majority of my day up front (not that I can’t do the majority of my work there but it’s the principle of the thing) it also means that if Tanya gets busy and needs help to post payments, there is no one to help her because J. was the one they trained to help her and well she called in.
So I’m sitting up front today, dragging my work out for the day so that I can continue to look busy while sitting here, fighting the chills that I get with a low grade fever and having to deal with every manager who can’t be bothered to read an email or the sick log that asks “Where’s J.?” Yeah, life is just fun today.
And tonight I get to calligraphy two, potentially three scrolls. Luckily I already have the wording for them all.
As the heading says… just kill me now?
