The down side to making a milk shake out of mint chocolate chip ice cream is that the chocolate chips get stuck in the bendy straw.

Here's a tip, make your milkshakes so thick you cannot suck them through a straw, but instead, must spoon them up!!

Fixes your problem, and gets you more ice cream per 'sip' too!!

*G* You could also use the big straws used for bubble tea. No idea where you'd get them, though.

That's why you don't use bendy straws. :) You use the straight un-fun fat ones!
