Thank you nice lady
Dec. 23rd, 2007 03:53 pmSo sis and I went to the grocery store today to get stuff we need for the next couple days and the holiday.
I had a coupon for a half ham. My idea of what half a ham is and what is actually half a ham is greatly different. Even with $2 off I couldn't justify getting a ham. As we were leaving the ham section of the meat aisle I hear a husband ask his wife if they want to get a ham. She says sure. I turn to her and hand her the coupon. I tell her that I can't really afford to get the ham and I'd rather the coupon get used.
As we are walking away she calls us back and says she wants to buy us a ham. Sis and I exchange blinks and tell her that that's ok. She then uses the "mom voice" and insists on getting us a ham. So this nice lady, whose name we never got, bought us a 8 pound ham.
I'm still in shock that there are still people out there in the world who do things like that.
Merry Christmas nice lady. We will think of you when we sit down for dinner.
